On December 14th, 2019 – You Can Stop Domestic Abuse (YCSDA) is bringing an intimate musical experience to downtown Seattle, partnering with The Michael Birawer Gallery. The event, on December 14th, will bring together musicians, visual artists, and community members to help support a great cause.
YCSDA is a 501c3 charitable organization started in Vancouver, Washington, and is active throughout the Pacific Northwest in supporting victims of domestic abuse. Domestic abuse has devastated many lives, with thousands of annual fatalities in Washington alone. YCSDA is geared towards supporting the victims and children of domestic abuse situations, and the holidays can be one of the most important times of critical need.
The Michael Birawer Gallery is supporting and hosting the event, which will feature music, art, raffles, prizes, and a wonderful night of community.
In addition to the iconic Seattle artwork of Michael Birawer, other talented local artists will have art on display as part of the event.
Tobias the Owl, award winning acoustic artists who have collaborated with Ben Harper and appeared on the official Starbucks playlist will do a special set of songs dedicated to the themes of the event. Vancouver (BC) duo, Focus Your Audio, will be playing songs off their new, critically acclaimed release, Masquerade. And KEXP-featured artist, The Drifter Luke, will also be performing his timeless, Americana melodies. Elijah Dhavvan, who stars in the new feature film, Go Fish, alongside Mark Hamill and Ron Perlman, will be on hand to sign DVDs of the new film.
December 14th at The Michael Birawer Gallery will be a wonderful night of music, art, and community with fun raffles and prizes where attendees can support a good cause at a critically important time. Donations for You Can Stop Domestic Abuse will be accepted at the door.
